Techart Headlight Covers

Sister Post to GT3 Forum -

Anybody have any experience with the Techart 997 Headlight Trim / Covers.

I am considering them and would appreciate any comments and/or the best source.

Thank you in advance,

I just bought them (them... well... replica) on a local "craigslist" website and they came with a glue to be used to fix them.
I was thinking to use some silicon sealant (high temperature) to be able to remove them in the future.
Do you have any tip/suggestion on this?
Thanks in advance.

I would use double sided tape instead of glue.

I agree.
Unfotunately I noticed that the replica covers are not 100% perfect so now I have another challenge first.
See if and how I can adapt them. The "interior" part (the one that will be gled/siliconed/taped to the headligh) need some finishing, if possible.
Not sure it was a bargain, though.

Have you considered KI Studio Vinyl Headlight Surround Trim? It achieves the same look as the Techart or its replica, and can be removed easily.

Yes. I was thinking of that before finding the ones I bought.
Now I'll check how much do the paintshop charge me for the painting since I paid 50 chf for the trims primed while the KI studio option would be more than 100usd shipped (only available in gloss black and not in basalt black metallic)

These are original TechArt. I also have the wheels and rear spoiler. These items were installed when I purchased the car. I added the GT3Tek lip to finish the look. I believe they come with adhesive tape pre-installed on the ring. Peel and stick (carefully!). Here is a closeup.

Rep+ given

Be kind, make me another small favour.
I need to understand how big is the gap between the ring and the upper part of the "wheelarch" (sorry for my english but I really have no clue on how to name it).
I fear that mine are not properly shaped.
Thanks again.

This is everything I have already uploaded. If you really need measurements in mm, I can break out the calipers and take new photos.
