Check engine light from aftermarket intake?

I installed an evolution intake in my 08 911S about a month ago and just had a check engine/visit workshop light pop up on my dash..I havnt had it checked yet, but im almost 100% sure its the mass flow sensor..

Is there anywhere i can buy the sensor online instead of going to the dealer?

Is there a different filter i can put on the evolution intake that wont mess up my filter?

I am running an EVO intake, and I don't have any problems with it. Did you oil it before the install? If so it might have a film on that needs to be cleaned. I would try that first.

Odd, check your MAF, clean it and try it again. I would then try with replacing it.

Evo tells me they are now using a cotton gauze filter that can be used w/o oil. I wonder whether the few hp are worth the potential problems w cel and the long term effects of questionable filtration? So far I have resisted the temptation.

I experienced the same problem right after I installed my Evo intake. However, the CEL turned off after about 1 minute of idling. Make sure the connectors are on nice and snug.
