looking for more horsepower in NA engine...

Now that I have added some mods and gotten the suspension how I wanted, I noticed that a bit more horsepower would be nice, any help would be appreciated. Not looking to trade up, may track, not sure yet. I like my C4S with the creature comforts as opposed to trading up. As previously stated this stuff is addictive.

based on the list of items you have I'd go for headers or a SuperCharger. Though IMO, I'd rather have a GT3 then a SC CS/C4S.

though if you're thinking of tracking, I'd take the header money and get a set of Pilot Sport Cups, that will improve your lap time far better then any intake or exhaust.

This has been asked so many times and there are so many different opinions on this that you should really do a search. My personal belief is that there is 0 to very little gains with mufflers by themsleves. If you do a whole exhaust system to include 200cpi metallic cats and such you will probably be looking at adding 15rwhp or so. There have been quite a few heated debates on this subjuect so instead of opening up a sore wound it would be best to do a search on the subject.

The 3.8 has some breathing issues.... so that being said some aftermarket cats and headers tend to be the best bet for more power!

Turbo Baby . That's what I did . Then came the mods and I'd say start right at the top -EVT700 . I'm in your region if you'd like to see my car.

+1, I have the cats and they make a bit of a difference. I am also addinga LWFW to get to the peak hp sooner. Other then that, go to some DE, you will find that your car is very fast.

Jason although there are gains to be had, I felt in my own experience that it was the cats that was the best bang for the buck. The 3.8 doesn't really breath that bad as it does make 90+hp per litre which alot of other cars would kill to have that kind of power/litre. Even on AWE's website after they did the cats and mufflers they only found 7rwhp by adding the headers. That's why I didn't shell out all the dough for Fabspeed/AWE headers and went with the X51 headers and saved the money for the 200cpi cats.

I am jealous, that and the quaife is the best mods for this car I think. I just wish I had some disposable income. I am just doing my darnest to hold on to the car.

Not just +1... +a million. It isn't all found in the engine in these cars, guys. I promise (if anyone's been there and done that with a 997S...).

LWFW, LSD, exhaust, and intake... that's where it's at with these cars if you don't go SC. If you DO, you need the first three badly anyway.

In my attempt to add HP I've added a custom ECU, RSS Plenum, EVOMS Cold Air Intake, Fabspeed Muffers, (soon to add AWE 200 Cell Cats and X51 headers), and the AWE LWFW and Sachs Stage2 clutch are going in today.

I think that other than supercharging there isn't much more I can do to add hp.

But if you want better acceleration, lighten the car by getting rid of the stock seats and upgrading to some lightweight seats. Get lightweight wheels (HRE or Fiske), and remove everything (carpet, mats, rear seats) that you don't need. Weight reduction is HUGE.

If car taken for DE's only and mostly street driving/ daily driver, would you see a need for the LWLW and LSD?

I cannot confirm that these are the best mods...yet, the shop that is doing the install has run into a snag with the LSD and are doing some runout tests today. I thought that the CO's are the best mods that I have done, but I am finding that it is the combination of all the mods that is making my car into a very capable track toy, with the ease and enjoyment of street use. When I get the car back I will definitely post and let people know what my thoughts are. It may take a few extra days as they are calling for snow on Friday through the weekend.

Dave, you need to hold on to your car, for me it is my escape from the stresses of everyday life. When I am driving it (especially on the track) I cannot stop thinking how much I love my Porsche.

I agree Ed I want to hold on to the car, my brother took over the lease for 10 mos. and made all the payments. I got the car back about 2 mos. ago and he only put 120 miles on the car. Well it was good for me..the tires were low and the battery was dead. Late at night I do my favorite canyon runs and you are so right about it being an escape from everyday life. I don't track the car but I still enjoy the car completely with my late night get aways.

Well first off the LSD should have come on this car as it was available for the ROTW cars as it is available now for the 09's. The LWFW just makes the car that much more sportier as the car isn't lethargic when you rev it like it is stock.
