Tires?

I have a 997 C2 and am looking to get new tires. Currently, my car has Pirelli PZero Rosso's; 235/35/19 front, 295/30/19 rear. It is a weekend car although I do plan on tracking it three or four times per year. My car has 9100 miles and these original tires are just about done. Would really appreciate some suggestions/recommendations. Cheers.

Had P Zero Rosso's and PS2's on my 07 C2S and now have the Pirelli's on my 08 C2S Cab and for me the Pirelli was the better tire. I was a little disappointed in the PS2's I fitted to replace the OEM Pirellis, for me they broke away too soon and I felt the Pirelli was more predictable. I've also found the Pirelli tires to be better in the wet and they felt like they had more grip. Others swear by the PS2, so your mileage my vary. I don't think Porsche fits any bad tires on its 997's so any Porsche-spec OEM tire should work well.

the latest P-zeros got some awesome ratings too. I think they even were a smidgen better than the PS2s. I wish they both lasted a bit longer, but I guess there is a price to pay for grip....

I had two sets of the PZero's and I hated them, I felt like the car was driving on marballs and would loose the back end easily. I now have PS2's and I like them a lot more.

I may try the Yokohama Advan Sports, as I had them on another car and they were great.

do you mean the newest Pzero or the older rosso/yellow versions??
The newest ones are completely new design and I think they have only been around a few months.....

Thanks for the replies. I just purchased this vehicle last October, and by the looks of the tires, I would have to assume they are OEM. Also, I do not drive the car in the rain, so I am definately after a dry road grip.

Then buy MPSCups or Toyo 888's, they are really good dry grip (won't last long, but good grip)

How many miles do the PS2 last if you drive "normal" around town with some spirited driving. I track the car about 10 days a year. I have the PZeros and put about 6k miles and 5 track days and they are holding up well and still have about 50% of tread left.
