I want to get a set (f&r) of Pagid Yellow pads for my C2S.

I am not certain that I have the right part numbers, can someone post the correct part number.

where is the best place to buy these?

E2474 290 10 is the front number. I can;t find the rear number right now but the 2002 GT3 Cup and 996TT use the same pads if the 997S code number does not work when looking up pads.

The Performance Friction PF97 numbers are:
7818.97.17.33 FRONT
0776.97.17.44 REAR

I bought mine from OG racing

Your car uses the same pads as my 996TT when it had OEM brakes - 2474 & 2405.

If you replace your OEM brake pads with Pagid Yellow, will the sensors work?

No...on any of these race pads that are used for DE's (track days) there is no place to plug the sensors into the pads.

What I did was take an old pair to senors and clip the wires a 1/2 inch from the plug and solder them to gether and plug back into the sensor plug. This way the light on the dash never lights up.

I am swaping out pads for DE's anyway and can keep an eye on my stock pad wear.

I have my sensors tied off away from the pads. I too have my wheels off a lot, so I know where the pads are all the time. Swapping brake pads only makes sense for me at this point (with the amount of track days I do).

I did the tie of thing for awhile but I am such a neat freak I could not stand the open sensors tied off so I took some old ones I got from my dealer and cliped and soldered them so everything is clean and neat.

Hey Guys,

What about carbotech XP10 or xp12? Has anyone used them and how do they compare to pagid yellows? These pads don't create corrosive dust like other pads.

I've run all sorts of race pads and if you go Pagid, go Yellow 29 up front and Black 14 at back, which will help with the odd bias in the 997.1. Honestly, for more than $100 in savings, try the PFC 97s - $472 including shipping from rotorsandpads.

I have heard that the Black Yellow Combo was great on the 996 GT3, but not needed on the 997. I went to www.rotorsandpads.com not very smooth, lists off three different types of brakes on a 05 997. Can you confirm that Mike has provided the correct part number for the PF97's.

Here's the quote I recently received, the ( ) is a discount. I ran these pads before - worked great, super price... As to the brake bias - I tried both Yellow / Yellow and Yellow / Black and the Black combo was better. Heard the same from race prep shops too...

PFC 97 @ Pads & Rotors, Free Shipping

7818.97.17.44 $234.10 $ (11.71) $222.40
0776.97.17.44 $263.19 $ (13.16) $250.03

Total $472.43

The only difference I see from Mike's PN is the .44 vs. .33 on the fronts. Not sure why...

Thanks Ron,

BTW Free Shipping never applies when shipments have to cross the imaginary line known as the 49th parallel!

Here is a quote I got from OG Racing on Performance Friction Pads PF97-01-06.

PFC7818.01.17.44 PFC 01 COMPOUND RACING BRAKE PADS $230/set
PFC7818.97.17.44 PFC 97 COMPOUND RACING BRAKE PADS $230
These pads are not available in 06 compound.

PFC0776.01.17.44 PFC 01 COMPOUND RACING BRAKE PADS $259/set
PFC0776.06.17.44 PFC 06 COMPOUND RACING BRAKE PADS $259/set
PFC0776.97.17.44 PFC 97 COMPOUND RACING BRAKE PADS $259/set

The PF01 and/or PF06 will eat rotors faster than the PF97.

Unless you're looking for more stopping power - I'd stick with the PF97 - otherwise use the 01.
