Question about offset for Carerra S II wheels

My dealer is planning to swap out the sport design wheel from my 2009 C4S with the Carerra S II wheels from a 2009 Carerra S. I check the offset of the wheel the front is the same at 55 but the rear is different . The wheels on the Carerra S has an offset of 67, and the offset for the C4S in rear is 51. Will the offset of 67 from the Carerra S work in C4S? Currently there are 5mm spacers installed in my new car with the sport design wheels.

i am not 100% that they make a C4S specific S II wheel but they do with the S I's.

to make an S wheel work with a 4S, you will need the 17mm spacers from porsche with the longer bolts.

i would first ask for a 51mm offset wheel first.

if you were to just bolt the wheels on your C4S, they will be sunken in by about 2/3 inch and not look right.

i assume the dealer wants to slap some spacers on for you

Technically they will work, but they will be tucked well under the wheel wells (67mm is a narrow-body offset). With your 5mm spacers you are currently running an effective 46mm offset in the rear (51 - 5).
You would need a 21mm spacer to acheive the same look with the NB wheels.
You might want to get your dealer to bring in some wide-body Carrera II wheels for your car (assuming they are available).

wrong!

the 5mm spacer will give him a 62mm offset. still way too tucked in. a 46mm would be sticking out farther than a stock c4s wheel

Umm, I know it sound bass-akward, but spacers reduce offset. A 51mm offset WB wheel sticks out much further than a 67mm offset NB wheel. Adding a spacer reduces offset in the same way.
Yes, a 46mm offset will stick out further than the 51mm stock C4 offset - that is what he has done with the 5mm spacer already.

Yes, there is a wide body offset for 09 carrera s II wheels. I bought them couple weeks ago. The correct offset for your car is 51mm for the rear. The carrera s's come with 67mm. I think it will look akward on your widebody car.

John I would pass and get the correct offset wheels. Otherwise you will be having to use a 15mm spacer for the rear.

Justr make sure the rear wheels are for the C2 and not the widebodies.

So to make the Carrera S II wheel work for C4S I will need at least 15mm spacer. Porsche makes a 17mm hub-centric spacer kit and I presume this is the closest kit to use. The dealer don't have other C4S in stock, and if I really want the wheel I would need the larger spacer.

JOHN,
There is no problem with running a 17mm spacer. This will give the car a proper offset and aid in a perfect fitment.

Wait for the correct offset for the C4 - avoid using a spacer to correct a narrowbody offset for use on a widebody if you can.

1. In all cases for 09, Porsche had rears made specifically for C4 (WB) offset and for C2 (NB) offset......ie dif between SIIs for one and SIIs for the other is 16mm.....so, if you want to make 'C2 wheel' look like a 'C4 wheel' in back?.....you need to deal with the 16mm

2. And.....many C4 owners (from the get-go) add 14mm spacers to their 'C4 wheels' (before the buy after market wheels with the 'correct offsets )

3. 16+14........30mm is not a plan

C4 SII wheels are pretty neat, pretty light wheel (less than 28#).....hold out for them (and when you get em.... put 14mm spacers on rear, 7s on front )
