Yes you are right the car, even a Pcar won't make you happy, but neither will someone else! Happiness comes from within.
I am very happy for you, that you have learned of the true character of this lady prior to marriage.. There are plenty of people who didn't learn of their partner's defaults until after they married and they don't even have a 997 to drive around!
Forget her, go out and jump in your car and enjoy and appreciate the good things you have. You will have another shot at love as long as you don't wallow in self pity!

+1 ishmerc, you should thank her for doing now rather than after you guys got married. If you waited ant longer, you would have no choice but to give up the 997.2. But if you're still looking for a beater to trade for that 997.2, I got one! I think you should no problem getting another chicken, its just a matter of time, afterall YOU DO drive a PORSCHE! That's the ONLY lady you need !

People do... usually. But not in this case. Yeah, you are badly stung by her, but trust me on this: she is not worth it. For someone to do what she did indicates a total lack of any commitment, loyalty, integrity, ethics, and a general shallowness and self-centeredness. Some of it may be the inherent risk of a relationship that began after a recent breakup. But she's not worth it. I know it doesn't feel that way now; but would you really want to be with someone who is so willing to do what she just did?

So how is a 911 better than a woman:

A 911 won't leave you for the garage across the street.
A 911 lets you turn it on whenever YOU want.
You can drive a 911 hard, any time of the month.

Your 997 will be more reliable than she was. Whats more, you can turn it on or off when you please. Enjoy your car, it may just be the therapy you need to get through this difficult time. Good luck.

YGBSM!! Am I the only one wondering why folks are even talking about this "soap opera" stuff on a forum for P-car/gearhead enthusiasts? Get over it - let's get back to talking about exhaust mods/suspension mods/etc!! BTW, you are better off - find a girl who loves Porsches as much as you and life will be good with no drama.
