I don't have experience with the Hankooks but I have heard good things about them, especially for the price. I have run PS2s on several cars and they are a top notch tire. My only gripe with the PS2 is that you pay a premium for top notch grip and performance but I rarely took advantage of that added grip on the street. The only place I took full advantage of those tires is on the track.

If you want to save money get the Bridgestone RE050 N-rated.

I have always used the PS2's (315/25/19) . I decided that $528 each for rears every 10K was a little much.. Since I have the Carrera 4 I decided to try another brand. I went with Falken ($298 each). I am actually impressed with the perfromance, the PS2's are best described as "GRIP, GRIP, GRIP, RELEASE". where are the falkens are more Grip, slip, grip, slip, Release" More predictable. the sort of tell you that they have reached the max grip wise... where the Ps2 was a tremendous amount of grip then gone...

I love the PS2's and think they are great, but for my $$ i like the Falkens.

The Falkens dont come in 305/19s or 295/19s. I have the Hankooks coming in on thursday.....will hopefully be comparable to the PS2s they are replacing.

I just replaced my PS2's with the Bridgestones and I love them. I'm pretty sure that the Falken's aren't a Porsche approved tire, so you may want to look into it.

I bought Hancook tires for my Cayenne S and have been very pleased. Equal if not better than the Pirrelli P 0's. I will probably get a set for my C2s on the next tire purchase. The PS2's I have now are way better then the Pirelli's, but too expensive. Let us know how they work out!

I know this thread is a bit old, but any reports on the Hankooks? The price on Tirerack is amazing for the size I'll be needing in a few months (305/30/19 and 235/35/19).

New favorite

Guys, I have to STRONGLY recommend Nitto Invos for your Porsche. I just mounted brand new Nitto Invo 225/35/19 and 305/30/19 on a set of OZ matte black OZ ultraleggeras for my '05 997S. I went on a "spirited" drive with my friend Maciej and Danny this past weekend, and I was SOO IMPRESSED with the handling, noise level, and overall grip of these tires! I pushed my car HARDER than I EVER did on the highly-rated, and WICKED EXPENSIVE PS2s that i was riding on before...I plan on replacing these with another set, and then another set..you guys get the point. BUY NITTO INVOs, you won't be disappointed!
