I am running Volk TE 37's with Yokohama 048's (18's)

I also have OEM wheels with MPSC's (19's)

I would suggest that you make the decision on wheels based on the number of days you do a year.

They are good wheels, very light and really strong. Not the best looking IMO, but great for the track.

I am running CCW wheels C10 in matt black 9x18 and 12x18 with Toyo R888 245-40-18 and 305-35-18. I also use Pagid rs29 "yellows" brake pads. I swap the the wheels and pads out before my track event.

Check out www.ccwheel.com these are the best forged wheel for the price. If you want to spend more check out Volk TE37, BBS, Fiske, Forgeline (my favorite looks).

If you are just starting out I would extremely and highly suggest to stay with stock street tires until you go solo.

If 18, wait a few more weeks and get the OZ Allegerita (sp?) from Tire Rack in 18x8.5 and 18x11. Have to load in the 997 GT3 to see them in their system - same wheels for the 997 / 997S. If 19, the Volk is hard to beat. I waffled between 18 and 19 for this new car, but our buddy Mike (mdrums) got a report from some Porsche experts at one of the tracks that said the suspension geometry is set-up for 19s, so I'm keeping my 19" Volks. As for tires, it feels like more 18" R-comps are going away and more 19s coming in. Right now I can get 19" Toyo R888, Michelin PSCup, Pirelli Corsas, and Hoosiers.
