Size is infamous around these parts
I have this kit on my 06 c4s. it does nothing other than change the sound a bit (which I like). If you're having an issue, put it back to stock. See given the short time frame, Fabspeed may take it back. Otherwise, consider it a cheap lesson on after market mods.

Size-ur confused. This "kit" is only for 2009 models.

Yeah man, you got some rep points from me!

I bet your CEL will be fixed and there has to be some connection not right. I love the looks of the Fabspeed CAI for the 09...I'd love to get one for my 09...especially since I am a track junkie...I'd like to see if it helps in anyway.

Guys, Joey is correct...I used a BMC filter in the sock air box on my 997.1 for well over 30,000 miles with ZERO CEL's. You get into a problem when you wash the filter element and OVER OIL it....it takes very little oil...a lite mist to oil the filter. I have been useing oiled filters for years with zero issues.

^I was thinking of doing this for my '08 C2S as the first mod. I know I won't feel the claimed 10hp, but I'm sure it sounds a bit different...and looks pretty cool. Free flowing air into the engine can't be a bad thing.

This intake will not produce any CEL's. There are plenty of guys that have them installed on the car with no issues.
That was me that you talk to .I took the cold air intake out after my mechanic install it and re install my self. I thought you were referring to the black round thing that was glue to the air box on the bottom ,when you ask about the solenoid ,anyway after I install exactly like your picture ,the check engine light is still on .Not sure about 10 more hp ,definitely more headaches .If anyone is thinking about buying one let me know ,I will sell this one at a discount ,don't need the headache.

Strange is generous; from the thread starter on it's like that Maury Povich afternoon TV show - no one seems to know who did what to what with what.

So what are the codes? I assume it will show you are running rich at idle. Many ways to fix that.
