Installed Fabspeed Cold Intake....Check Engine Light Is On!?!?!

I installed the Fabspeed Cold Intake on my '09 C4S about a week ago, the check engine light keeps popping up. I spoke with a tech from Fabspeed, he walked me throught the install, according to them everything is installed correctly. I remember the video on their site saying, "NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS." Just wondering if anyone else did this and has the same problem. Thanks.

GOOGc4s is infamous around these parts
Cool

Did you go with the BMC filter along with the cold air kit? I went with both and not only does the engine seem to breath easier there has been not engine light whatsoever.

I got the one Fabspeed has available for the '09 C4S, can't really tell any power gains, but does sound alittle different.

The guys at Fab say a lot of things to make the sale. I had a VERY bad experiance with them

My recommendation is to return it if you can. But you will need lots of luck to get them to accept it.

Did you connect the MAF properly? or perhaps it might be dirty from handling it.

Probably you just blow the MAF is easy to over rev the car with the high flow intake and the sensor is very sensible

I don't want to be a d**k, but you just got an '09 C4S and you already needed to put some aftermarket CAI on it as a DIY job? You've maxed out the car's power already?

What does this have to do with the price of tea in China? Who cares? It's his money and his car...

To answer the OP's question, though, unless there is something vastly different about the intake/air mgmt on an 09 versus 05-08, you may have inadvertently dislodged the MAF. Otherwise, it should be a straight 5 minute swap with no positive gains other than a slightly louder sounding intake...

Turn on your AC set it to a temperature below the current temp, wait a few seconds, and presto!

The FS CAI for '09 is a really cool looking addition to the engine comp. If it makes it sound different, and adds 10hp...that you can't feel...all the better. I'd get one if they made the same thing for the '08.

Also on the devil's advocate side, what about just pure sound? Regardless if I believe the hp/tq claims, isn't the Fabspeed CAI legitimately a louder sounding tone to the stock w/out it?

What's the REAL deal with this mod? I've heard alot of back and forth some for it some against. Just wondering if it really works. 10hp gains?
