On-board video filming rig?
I custom made a few of these out of Aluminum, worked really well. Check out this thread.

I still have the grey one for sale, interested? I can buy the correct camera mount for an additional cost.
PM me if interested.

Thank you for your response. I also received your PM.
That's how many businesses got started: cannot find a product you need/ want so you make it yourself. Good job.
Have you seen anything that can be affixed to the windshield or would it be the wrong way to go about this in your opinion?

Take a look at the Go Pro unit (www.goprocamera.com). The entire kit was $200.00, and it came with some pretty nifty mounting hardware. The YouTube video below was shot with the Go Pro.
A small plastic clip was mounted directly to the windshield (behind the rear view mirror) using 3M VHB tape, and the camera clipped in upside down. The camera has a setting that allows you to rotate the image 180 degrees:

That's my good friend in the Civic Si. He's an outstanding driver (better than yours truly), and his car is set up beautifully, with aftermarket springs, sways, end links, camber kit, cold air, throttle body extension, etc. The car is surprisingly neutral, without the expected understeer of a FWD. Keep in mind that Honda stopped making the Acura RSX to focus on the current generation Civic Si. It's an excellent car for the money and there is a ton of aftermarket tuning support.
This Civic was giving the Porsche's at the DE fits. There was a modified 997TT that could only keep up due to the straights.

I bought one of these custom made setup from Ed and can confirm that it really works. Took 10 minutes to mount or dismount.
The track is Hallett, just outside of Tulsa, Oklahoma. 1.8 miles long, 10 turns, and lots of elevation changes. Not much to run into either!

Straights are part of a road racetrack. The balance between going fast in the straights and being able to corner fast is the give-and-take that a car builder deals with. In a well designed track, a builder should not be able to get away with ignoring one in favor of the other.
