2008 C4S price
2008 C4S price
Appreciate all the help from the group on getting me into my first Porsche. An special thanks to Larry for all his guidance along the way - a good man.
As I play out the waiting game on one car, I am looking at another, and was looking for feedback on pricing. Car is moderately optioned, and has the two-tone sand beige/back full leather interior. As I've been taught the DME and paint scan are minimums before I make an offer, however, want to know if my offer is too aggressive/unreasonable. Thanks!

Unless the dealer is really hurting I think he will blow off your offer pretty quickly. In two months the fall shopping starts and C4's will be front and center. I think you need to be closer to 65-66 to get the car now.
Based on my purchase of a car that is very close to yours (I bought a 2008 C4S Cab with just under 7,000 miles with some aftermarket additions but close to what you are looking at), I would say pricing should be closer to $65k. I have also heard that pricing is actually starting to stabalize if not creep up just a bit so not sure if the $65k will get it done. As buckwheat says, it will depend a great deal on how motivated the seller is. Also, my pricing is based on a private party. If the car you're looking at is at a dealer, $65k may not get it done.
Keep us posted on how things go and best of luck.

It will be interesting to see how much production there is given Porsche's current financial condition and the automobile market in general. Not sure they will be producing cars to sit in dealer showrooms vs. cars they know they have buyers for. Minimizing the supply of new cars could help dry up the current over supply of old cars making anything on the lot of dealer in a strong market (not sure where that might be) a little more costly to buy. However, I don't believe "For Sale By Owner" prices would be affected in the same way. Seller needing out is a motivated seller regardless of market conditions.
if you can get it for 65k ,that a good deal and yes Larry is very helpful if you have any question about Porsche. He doesn't even know me and yes take time to answer my question when I PM him.

i would start there but where is your top line? my hunch is that some new 2009's may roll into the market as they make way for the 2010's. if you are leasing the cost may be less on the 2009 due to higher residuals.
a 2009 c4 with pasm option is pretty much the same car as that 2008 c4s

Cpa4S - my top line is probably close to where this car is priced - at least that is where I am now. I'd like to get into a Porsche where I can leverage any residual 4-5 years out and use that equity to get what I really want.
I'll keep you posted should I decide to make a move on this car. Thank you all!
Agreed. Driving characteristics of the two are different. The decision being would I ever drive it in the snow or rain to take advantage of C4S. Regarding price, Buckwheat makes a good point.

good luck...lets hope for the best
Yup, and I took that into account in my post. I figured about a difference of $5k-$7k in price between the OP's C2S and my C4S and that's why I was thinking $65k for the OP's car as an offer price.

I don't see the auto-dimming mirrors on there, and much more importantly, I don't see NAV.
I'm no expert, but I think the lack of NAV hurts the resale of the car. OP doesn't say that the car is CPO either.
Tomorrow is the last day of the month. Might be a good day to try to get it done for a good price.

Porsche Nav is subpar... I don't think it makes a difference to many buyers
