Best way to Remove Pine sap

The good news is I got to drive my car many many hours during a vacation to Cape Cod. The bad news is I had to park under some nasty pine trees while I was there.

Anybody got any tips on how to remove pine sap without damaging the clear coat?

Thanks for any tips

Thanks for the suggestions. I looked at the detailng forum and ended up using alcohol to remove the pitch and re-waxing the area. All is well now.

Bug and tar remover. There are probably half-a-dozen products sitting on the shelf at the local auto store. Take a look.

Bug and Tar remover works well. Followed by a good rinse and wash of the area to get all of the 'cleaner' off of the car, then reapply the protectant/wax to the area you just cleaned.
