damn rear view mirror vibrates badly at 4000 RPM and above - can't see behind me for cop cars.

Any fixes?

 

I would bring it in to the dealer, perhaps there is some thing loose (other the nut behind the wheel)

 

+1 I'd get the dealer to look at it. Mine doesn't vibrate and is so stiff it is actually hard to adjust. Maybe the mirror shake is just a symptom of something like an out of balance wheel or flat spotted tire?

 

Yep...have the dealer look at it. Mine is steady as can be......

Thought you were gonna stay its impossible to sleep in. Really, what's behind you is not important.

You have a balance issue. Start with wheel balance and go from there.

 

I think mine is steady, but I wonder how many of us are studying the RV Mirror at 4K+rpm - if that's at cruising altitude, I can see why you'd be on the lookout for cops. Maybe try Escort or Valentine? Or a wheel balance, or better roads...

If it is spreed independent and only happens at high RPMs - hmm...

 

I haven't noticed any vibration as yet. Doh, now I'll probably be looking for it!
