Basically PDK was a godsend for me. However there is no way anyone could shift as fast or smooth as what PDK does...even with PDK in manual mode. PDK is not a true automatic....It is a sequential style dual clutch system and Porsche developed it back in the late 70's to use on their race cars at LeMans.

With PDK in manual I do not feel any disconnect with the car at all. I can control the gears and drive the car the way I want to drive it. I usually drive PDK on the street in manual mode. That way it is always second nature for me at the track. However on a hot day it sure is nice to pop PDK over in auto mode and grab that water bottle for a refreshing drink.

So for you 2 legged people, I truly do not know what to tell you about picking PDK or a 6 speed manual. I guess it all depends on what you like out of your car. Do you still dream of mastering heal and toe and relish in driving the track like your hero's have done in the past? Or are you into the latest and greatest technology and want to go faster and experience what Porsche has to offer today?
Thanks Mike. I am impressed with the technology behind the PDK. Currently have an '05 C2S with manual and love the challenge of driving it on the track. So...I am on the fence on which way to go. Best of all worlds would be to have both I guess! Who else on the board would you recommend I ask that would have track time with manual and PDK?

Thanks Mike. I am on the fence on PDK. My '05 C2S is a stick and I truly enjoy the challenge of driving it at the track. Who else on the board do you think could give me some insight?
