Do you have this OEM sunshade (Part No. PNA-505-996)? Likes/dislikes?

FWIW I use a roll up reflective sunshade in the car and it seems to be highly effective. Custom fit. Ordered it from Griot's. Lighter in weight but takes up about the same amount of space when stowed.

I contacted Suncoast and was told they didn't make one for 997, so I went with one from Covercraft that I bought from AutoAnything. Same thing w/o the logo and perfect fit.

I use the OEM sunshield in my 2008 997 and very much recommend the product. It’s easy to position against the windshield and provides a perfect fit with complete coverage. Installation is simple and quick---unfold the sunshield, put it in place, and extend both sun visors to hold it in position. Depending on the specific angle of your rear-view mirror, you may need to make a minor adjustment in order for the sunshield to clear it and reach the windshield, but that’s an easy thing to address.

Aside from the practical benefits, the Porsche logo adds a nice touch and, when not in use, the folded sunshield, in its Porsche case, looks neat. I place it across the back seat area with the seats folded down. I purchased the sunshield from Carlsen Porsche and I’m completely satisfied with its performance.

Hope this helps…

John

I had asked Suncoast about the 996 shade and they weren't sure if it was a perfect fit so I went w/ the Covercraft one. Its a perfect fit and was slightly cheaper as well.

I contacted Covercraft who was making the 996 shade for Porsche and they have a fitted unit for the 997 (CoverCraft PN UV11029).

I ordered one from AutoAnything. This one will fit. It also has the advantage of not having the Porsche badge with the added bonus of being more discrete.
