I am new to the forum and first off wanted to say hello. I just accquired a set of factory 2006 Porsche Carrera S wheels and tires. I have looked high and low to see if I can find a value on them and haven't seen anything. So, a friend told me about the site and said I should check with the experts, he told me to come here. Any help would be great. I don't know what they are worth. So any recommendation would be a great. Thanks for your help! Bear

The tires are Pirelli Pzero Rosso's. The front tires are 235/35/19 with 8/32" in the middle of the the tread. The rear are 295/30/19 with 5/32" left in the middle of the tread. No caps or lugs.

You'll see a range of asking prices on these from maybe $1200 to $1800 or even $2k - with the tires. Colored center caps are at least another $100 (you don't have them), and it looks like you might have tire pressure monitoring system (valve stems are the clue) which is worth another $200 or so at this age but only if you remove them. This wheel is referred to as the "lobster fork" and has both strong advocates and strong foes for its styling. There are getting to be more and more available so I suspect the prices are trending downward.

To be sure they are factory wheels and not imitations, look first for the size (width and offset) embossed next to the valve stems, and then on the back inside the spokes for part numbers, etc. It appears to my poor old eyes that yours are probably factory, so the above prices should be a reasonable guide for retail sale.

$1200-$1400 without tires - that would be my guess.

 

Since I am not a wheel and tire expert with Porsche's, do you know what years and or other makes and models these tires will fit?

 

I have a set of almost perfect lobster forks, and wasn't able to get $1200 for them so decided to keep for a set of autocross tires. Mine had no tires or center caps and no TPMS sensors.

These fit narrow body 997's (2005-present).

 

I think it's area dependant too - these rims are readily available and someone looking for them would prefer to buy local then to pay for shipping.

I'm certain $1200 is a more then fair price.

 

I sold my lobsters ( no tires ) for $1200 last june. They were in mint condition.

Forgot to mention that they'll fit wide body cars if spacers are added to the rears.

 

I just got my new wheels in and will be taking off my set of '05 Carrera S wheels and selling them over the next few weeks. The prices mentioned so far seem in the ball park - I'd suggest you also compare with those offered on ebay - that'll give you a good idea of what they're going for. Just make sure you're comparing against OEM Porsche wheels - there's a lot of imitations out there!
