You can use Pagid Yellows on the street but they will squeal like a pig. They will also not stop as well as stock pads when cold.

Stock pads have more friction cold and the racing pads are built for durability and work better when hot.

They really do squeal . Do you switch them after each track day? I thought I would do it after the season. What are your thoughts on the Braided Steel lines cracking?

Actually I didn't realize it was an "eek!!" Sorry I meant to imply that they were jaw dropping amazing for stopping. They do however squeal alot and once track season is over I will be putting on my OEM pads. But until then I can live with the squeaky brakes. If your really going to get into tracking it is worth it.

chowyunfatnd is infamous around these parts
Well, is there a middle ground? Anything in between a true "track pad" and the OEM? I realize it's a compromise... but as I'm not seriously racing or anything... it'd be nice to keep one pad on all year that stops a little better than stock but also isn't too bad (or squeeky) when cold / street driving.

Yes I swap out the Yellows for my stock street pads after my DE.

Swaping pads in a Carrera S is so easy...it is actually faster to swap the pads than it is to jack the car up and remove the wheel.

When I swap out my R-Compund tires with swap the pads too. The whole ordeal in my garage take 1 hr at most for all 4 wheels and pads. Very simple to do.

I use the stock brake lines. I've thought about going to the braided stainless steel lines.
