Just Had An Accident....
Just Had An Accident....
Not the most enjoyable day to be honest.....
Driving peacefully listening to my tunes ....when suddenly...a 4x4 Nissan Patrol comes swerving ( or should i say..under steering?) out of the exit on my right....almost crushing my car with me in it...
Good news...Im alive
Bad news....
1-out of reflex i swerved to the left where i hit a concrete wall.. the front steering rod is broken...the wheels on the left side are scratched to hell, and there are a few tiny dents on the side skirt and the front bumper. Thankfully no damage to the chassis.
2- The guy seemed to be oblivious to what just happened and simply cruised to the other exit. Sadly i ouldnt get his number plates ...
3- The ****ING PIECE OF **** OFFICER blamed me for the accident....he had the crappiest attitude ive ever seen even though i was polite and tried to argue with him in a civilized manner. He then tried pin something like " damaged the concrete wall" to the report in order to have my car impounded. Yes the wall did have some damage....20 meters away!!!! that damage was not done by me and i explained it to him (same way you try to teach a dog how to fetch) that my front rod was broken and i had no steering whatsoever, how the hell did i manage to move 20 feet?
Got rid of that argument so he just finished up his ****ty paper work since i wanted to get on with my life. I did ZERO damage to that damn wall.
3- I had my triangle light behind the car...wanna know what happened?
The officer who was driving( the A hole, other guy in the passenger seat was polite actually) moved his car infront of my triangle, ran over it, and left with his tires sreeching. My friend was with me at that time and we just couldnt stop
staring at him as he left.
Pretty amusing day to be honest....bad timing too.....i was just about to enjoy some track time on saturday..
Sorry for the boring long post...had to vent...

Police departments are all about public relations, go down and speak to whomever handles complaints such as yours. Besides, he damaged your personal property and the department owes you a new piece of safety equipment.

Damn! I'm sorry to hear about the whole thing...
Some cops are real a$$holes! I have been pulled over and gotten a ticket so many times only because I am young and drive a Porsche (even in my old 350Z). I guess they just can't take it, and they are so jealous that they try to make your life a living hell!

Bummer - SUVs and 911 are a bad combo - they just can't/don't/won't see us. A few months ago one nearly ran over me by changing from the left into my lane - the driver never knew what she did or how to use her side mirrors. I almost crashed my car then, but luckily didn't.
I really am paranoid of SUVs near me now and give them a wide berth.

Oops, my bad. I missed the OP's location. Yeah, different rules.
