iron e is infamous around these parts
With a good shop, this will turn out perfectly. Once fixed, you will never know it was there. Any reasonable buyer would not be put off by this type of cosmetic problem, provided it was well repaired, which it sounds like it certainly will be. It is annoying and frustrating to have this sort of damage happen through someone else's carelessness, but it will soon be in the rear view mirror.

I think the first thing you should do take it to dent experts, see what they tell you if one say it cant be fixed try another one. I had similar dent with my Lexus I was about to fix it and paint it and I found a shop who specialize in dents, I didn't believe it would work but i had nothing to lose so i tried it. When they called me to pick my car i couldn't believe they fixed they got the dent out and polished the scratch, the scratch its kind of visible if you know where it is and look close. I think it can be done on their site they got some before and after pics http://www.dentxpress.com/gallery.htm i live in kuwait and we have it and your in the states you should have more experts there then here.

but your car must have factory paint

best of luck hope you can fix it

Larry, I know the "It's not going to be the same" feel. I also felt the same way after the parking lot accident on my 997.2 recently. Passage of time will heal most of this sick feeling. Hopefully the body shop does a perfect job.
