How to ad a GT3 hood vent to my 997.1?


Im sure someone asked this before:

How would I ad that GT 3 hood vent look to my 911 - 997.1 ?

any simple snap in parts?

Sure, the part snaps right in, but you need to cut a hole in your bumper. There should be something here if you do a search. I know I've seen it before...
I have the part, btw. I think I paid about $30 from Suncoast, but decided not to use it. Let me know if you want it

1.Tape the front bumper.
2.Measure and measure again
3.Tape down grill and trace on tape
4.Dremal and dremal some more and more and more and more
5.Paint silver accident bumper bar that is now exposed beneath grille
6.Epoxy and enjoy

You lost me at "dremel".

tri is infamous around these parts
I never understood that grille... it ruins the clean look of the front end completely IMO. Now the 997 GT2 grille that's built into the bumper is completely different story...

Your best bet is to do a full GT3 front bumper conversion. I've done it and love the look vs. Stock. Let me know if you have any questions.
