Looking for some help connnecting a battery maintainer

Hey All,

Hope you all had a great holiday!

Im trying to figure out the best way/place to hook up a battery maintainer on my 997.1. Is the cig lighter acceptable or is there a connection to be made in the fuse panel in the drivers foot well. I've searched to no avail.

Im confused Thx for the help.

Seth

Center Console lighter is what I use. Some connect to the battery directly - some wire an outlet from the battery to the front bumper (custom). Never heard of a fuse panel connection, yet...

Any recommendations on a maintainer for the center console lighter? I'll be putting the car up in storage for a month or so and it sounds like this is the easiest way to keep the battery fresh.

I bought a trickle charger that comes complete with alligator clips, cig lighter, and battery hardwire. I tried to use the cig lighter but the 993 lighter won't hold it steady enough. I ended up hard wire directly to battery....very easy.

CTEK - same as Porsche version, but without the logo and mark-up.

Got my CTEK 3300 from Amazon at a good price. You might want to try that.

x4 for CTEK.

Mine has been in storage for almost 2 month using the CTEK 3300 and the cig lighter adapter. No issues.
