BLKonBLK911C4S is infamous around these parts
1st was a little every once in a while with the stock shifter. I do not notice an increase with the SSK. I cannot attribute it to cold weather before or after. 2nd seems to be an easier with the SSK - IMO.

Double clutching the shift into first helps when the car is cold and the gearbox is recalcitrant.

A little more notchy, but overall, worth the investment.

I live in VA and the temps have been in the 30s and 40s --- I have had no problem shifting into first.

Well even the standard shifter is notchy in the cold .. I really want to make this upgrade and will do it soon. Can I get into a GT3 to test (feeling?)...

Mine had occasionally difficulties getting into first before and after the SSK upgrade, so it's definitely not SSK related. Dealer says it's normal and I don't want them to try adjusting it only to make it worse. I just shift into 2 and jam back up into 1, works everytime.

SSK is definitely the way to go. Not sure why they didn't just make it standard equipment other than just to make more money as an option.
