Installed EBC 'Redstuff' pads on 997.1

Installed these pads on my 2007 997.1:

  • EBC Brakes Red Stuff Brake Pads (DP31515C), $103 pair.
Immediately did a bedding on new pads by:

  • 10-60mph, 60-10mph, 10 times until brakes were hot! Never stopped the car just kept driving.

As far as the pads, much better than stock pads. I noticed cold stopping had much better bite. When they are warm, stopping is much more predictable and very effortless to stop quickly. Dust seems to be a little better but still too early to make a qualitative assessment. The rears are next - maybe this weekend. Well worth the money so far. High Recommended!!!

+1 on the squeaking... my stock S pads start to squeak after a few weeks, but a wash clears it up. Must be accumulation of dust.

Pagid (RS29 Yellow, RS14 Black etc) are true proven race pads. EBC are not.

I think that you will find that the yellows compare favorably with Pagid pads.
