MSCHWA3439 is infamous around these parts
get to the dealer right away. Your bracket is loose. may not withstand a significant impact.!!!!!!

Two places for you to check. For starters look thoroughly under your seat for a bolt and/or nut. If you find either, BINGO!

If you have power seats, look under at each side. There is a scissor-style hinge.

My seat "wobbled" as well. I looked underneath, found a nut (no bolt) and the hole where it went in the scissor-assembly.

It is a mind-bogglingly simply fix assuming you can attach a bolt to a nut. I mentioned it to my dealer who said they would fix it however they would have to order the "proper bolt". I waited until my next planned service when they had my car for a day. Once I got my car returned they forgot to address it and wanted to keep it longer. I simply did it myself.

Mine wasn't as lucky. The seat motor gears were worn somehow, so they replaced the seat motor under warranty. Wasn't cheap. At about 25k miles.

Usually those are self-locking stretch bolts and can't be reused. At least in other German cars I've had.

I had the same problem the seat would move slightly especially on hard breaks and i could hear a little cracking noise. I brought it to dealership and they said they tightened the bolts but the fix lasted just a couple of months and its back at it...
My car is still under warranty is it just wear and tear or can it be replaced?
If so what needs to be replaced bolts, tracks...?

There is apparently a worm gear in the seat motor. Of course they wouldn't just replace the gear, the replace the entire motor. That's what they did on mine under warranty. Looked like it was about $800 on the warranty receipt. Seat is rock solid now.

Do you think the problem is due to the motorized seat? I have manual seats (only electric adjustment is seat back angle) and they are rock solid - 2008 with 21,000 miles.

I had the same issue and took it to the dealer they said it was normal I said bull cause the pass seat didn't do it. They replaced the seat frame and that solved the problem. Covered under warranty so no charge! I have the *** seats
