Anyone ever figured out how to get a full set of 19" tires inside the car?

Need to get the set mounted.

I can bring them to the shop in my suburban but trying to save a trip.

i've had 2 rears - one in front seat, one across back seats, in the cabin before but i doubt you could get 3 (much less 4) without damaging a few things. dont you have a friend who owes you a favor??

 

I would guess it's only possible in a Cabriolet.

 

If they do I want to see the pictures.

In tire bags/carriers, one rear in each rear seat, then the 2 fronts in the front seat.. I would imagine its a tight fit but could be done.

 

nope. can`t, i tried.

some folks in 996 forum posted abot trick to tear off liner from front trunk - apparently after than it allows to close trunk lid with 18" wheel inside, then you can put 2 tires in rear and one on front seat. but i did not go 100% crazy yet to start destroying interior.

and btw 10" wide 18" with 335/30r18 tire does not fit nowhere in 997 car at all.

 

yep, ill take them in the truck over the weekend

maybe you can get two in the cabing but that is it.

i used to goto the track in my 87 carrera with a full set of fuchs wheels with hoosier TD's all tucked neatly in the car with my jack, tools, cooler, etc.

kind of miss that car.

I don't even have my car yet but I'm already looking at wheel upgrades I could buy on my drive home after picking up the car in SoCal and whether or not I'd be able to fit them inside for the remainder of the trip. It's good to know I'm not alone out there.
