Best Lowering Springs?
I read a couple posts about H&R springs and concerns about sagging, but I did read posts to the contrary as well - that H&R were fine. I went with H&R springs (from Damon at TireRack) and the ride is a bit rougher afterwards - but expected, of course. Took the car out for a spirited drive last weekend, and it was glued to the road through all the curves - no issues.
I was in the same dilemma - springs or coilovers - and I just couldn't justify the $3k premium of coilovers when I don't track the car. I told myself that if the car develops any issues with the shocks in the next several years, then I'll get PSS10's the next go around. I spent the $3k I saved on wheels instead

SPASM is very good with 997.2 GTS, work with dealer to get it. Lowering springs will not be nearly same.
Why would anyone get the highest sport version without this important option? Sport PASM is very good.
I completely agree^^^^
I agree with you all. I can't see ordering this car without checking the simple performance box of sports suspension on a sports car? Ridiculous.
But I didn't order it and I don't have a way of getting one unless I purchase from an unknown dealer. Also, I was only going to lease it because I planned on getting a 991 after they sort out whatever small issues they may have with the new ones, but I have the option of keeping my GTS if I want. I could build one but I would have to wait till August to get it and I will miss a lot of good driving time.
D
I guess I will have to skip it.

Bert Smith Porsche in Tampa has 2 GTS on the floor....call Mike O'Donnell.
Check around or have your dealer locate the GTS you really want. Back in 2006 my wife wanted particular options on a Carrera S Cab in black...dealer found it in Washington State and she had it in 4 days...simple!
