My approach to the front plate was a little different. I took a high res digital photo and sent it to a sign company. They made a photo reproduction on "cast vinyl" and I stuck it on the bumper. The "cast vinyl" is the stuff they use for body decals. It moulds to the bumper looks just like a plate. All for $20 and 5 minutes work.

OH wait...I just looked at where you are from......REALLY close (same city area,kinda).
If you come to Downtown Vancouver,I can almost guarantee that you will get a ticket sooner or later!

I don't need front plates where I'm at but my bumper is a bit dinged up and I got an idea to do a similar thing as you're doing, but with a Euro plate. I haven't figured out how to get it done, so its on the back-burner for now.

I traded e-mails with someone from one of the Euro plate companies who said he'd do it for me, but I haven't heard back in a while...

Justatoy: not only that but they also caught the guy who first originated the idea.

The whole sticker plate issues are way too common in Vancouver that having it on the car guarrantee a ticket within a day.

 

i always laugh at those bmw with euro plates. who are they trying to fool?

as for the vinyl sticker plate, very creative. but, i think meter maids will catch that for sure. it may avoid tickets on freeways.

 

yeah, seems like it would definitely be a great defense against laser/lidar
