Wing choice
trying to decide between two wings from Getty Design for my 997 cab.
although i am leaning one way, any and all input will be much appreciated !
one is a sporty duck ala 997 Classic Sportster..
the other is the Turbo wing (fixed)

The 911 looks so good from behind as it is. But if you HAVE to, put the ducktail. You see 911s all over the place with 'modern' rear spoilers, but you NEVER see one with a ducktail.

IMHO wings don't look very good on cabs.
But certainly do as you please without any judgement from me.
I do understand that the ducktail is hard to resist. I admit to being tempted myself.

Let the haters hate. Do what you want! My only opinion is to do an oem style one. Will be easier for resale of that part later on.

This is a very hard question as I have asked myself this many times. If you are looking for a different look then get front and rear bumper covers.....GT3 style. I just don't think wings look right on a cab as well.
I will say that I once say a black cab with a smaller gt2 style wing and it looked incredible. I think it had to be custom as I have searched the web many hours to find out who made it (not talking about the Techart model). Seen it and do not like it.
Just my opinion but would love to see how it turns out. Please post your pictures if you pull the trigger.

the consensus seem to be leaning towards leaving the cab as-is..
and i can see why..
but at times, i think the lil ducktail would be perfect !
and everytime i look at the sports classic.. i am 100% convinced the tail would look great ! but i can also see why u guys don't think it would look great on a cab.
and i can hear Larry already.. "if u want a ducktail, go buy a sports classic..or shoot Daffy or Donald"
but no one is commenting how great the Turbo wing looks on a Turbo cab.. so it can't just be that a wing would not look good on a cab..
