997.1 LED Tail Lights - Dectane
I have/had a similar error message. 3 weeks after installing them and having no error messages ... I pulled to activate the rear fog light and got the rear fog light bulb error message. I have been in contact with Frank many times since then and he is going to send me some replacement lights later since they are back ordered right now. I tried with resistors and without and the error message is still there for the rear fog light.
So, If you have a work around to bypass that error message i would love to know it..

btw... other then this small issue I am dealing with, I LOVE these lights and I can not express what a nice difference they make to updating the rear end.
IIRC, there was a thread on Rennlist stating that Dectane halted the R&D on their LED DRL, as another manufacturer has already done it.
Carrera997re's taillights are Rottec's derivative, so they're not Dectane. In Rottec's version, I believe you have to remove the foglight bulb in order to not have the error msg. This was related to their earlier version. This has since been corrected.

Yea i had to remove the rear fog light so i dont have that error msg. Basicly pull the bulb out mine are not dectane i believe there almost the same as rottec. So i pluged the light back into the housing without a bulb. So now i dont have a rear foglight sux cause i always drove with it on. But ill loose the rear foglight for the LED tAils.
That's a first time I believe we hear of LED being out on the Dectane lights. Hopefully this is not a trend starting and you will get a replacement.
No I haven't but was planning to order my set. He told me a few weeks ago that the lights are on back order and wouldn't be available until the end of this month.

Went for a drive tonight and found that 2 additional LEDs have gone bad. (3 in total)

i have contacted frank yesterday to place a new order and he replied back ... so i guess he is there...
