Squeaky windows
Squeaky windows
Fellow 997 enthusiasts,
I have squeaky windows. When I roll them up and down, they sporadically let out quite an annoying squeal. My question is, is this a sign of something going wrong or a simple DIY fix? Anyone else have this problem?
Thanks for the help

often it is sap or something sticky on the seals that are at the base of the window. I used some dishwashing liquid (palmolive) and a small syringe to soften it up (left it on for 40 minutes). I used a thin piece of plastic to gently scrub the felt seal. It worked until I parked under the tree again!
If it is the outside seals, rub some GummiPflege on them.....

Thanks, John. I will give that a try, and you a rep point. What you said makes sense, as the weather is finally turning nice around here and pollen is in the air. Some days when I leave work and go out to my car, I notice a fine pollen film all over my car, so I imagine it is something along those lines.
Thanks again.

Where I park at work, I have to choose between the sap falling on my car, or having the birds sit on my side mirrors and poop down the sides of the door! I keep a small cleaning kit in my trunk for just such an emergency!
off topic.. i try not to park under the tree due to the sap and pollen.. and clean any bird **** asap.
