creaking after sways were put on

Hi
I recently put on some H and R sway bars and now I have an annoying low speed creak, especially when slowing down or when going over drive ways. Here's my setup

07 C4S w/ PASM
Bilstein damptronic coilovers
Front and back H and R sway bars at the intermediate setting.

took it back to the installer and they "re-lubed" the sways which helped for about 300 miles.

Now the creaking is back

it's normal to have creaking sways especially if they did a poor job lubing the bushing. the installer has to lube the inside of the bushing. take it back again and see if they could remove the bushing to have it re-lubed.

so if it's normal, what's the point of taking them back?? isn't it just going to ended up creaking later??

it's not normal if they packed the bushing correctly...when the grease dries out (eventually) that's when it creaks.

trackaddict is infamous around these parts
See if you can find a teflon coated bushing...those don't ever need to be lubed up. I've seen these for other cars, but I'm not sure if there's a Porsche application.

I pretty much have the same set up as you but without any creaks. I don't remember having to do any special lubrication when the sways were installed about a year (~6,000 miles) ago.

According to the marketing spiel from AWE Tuning where I bought mine, "All H&R swaybars use a teflon mesh lined bushing to eliminate squeaking under movement and the need for periodic lubrication. Trust us when we say that this is a terrific idea!" You might want to call H&R directly to discuss. GL,

Just speculating here, but my first inclination is that you are hearing something from the coilovers, not the swaybars. Those teflon lined H&R bushings are magic. I have had owned several cars and drivn countless cars with H&R bars we have installed and never a peep.

Can you have the coilovers looked at?

coilovers went on first so i'm pretty familiar with all the clunks associated with them. i've tried everything includeing nylotron washers, replacing the strut bearings, etc.

the creaks started after the sways went on so i'm pretty sure it's from that.
