Music to my ears... Sharkwerks bypass

Wow. Received my sharkwerks muffler by-pass today for my 2010 C2S. I love it, sound is much better - aggressive and throaty - but just right not too loud.
Even noticed a little more pep I think - will confirm after driving it for a few days...
Easy to install - took me just over an hour to do myself...
I love it - thanks to Dan at Sharkwerks - a pleasure to deal with.

Very cool - any droning so far? I'm thinking about it as an alternative to the PSE.

Do you know if it will void a CPO warranty by placing this on?

No drone at all - drove it on the highway to work for 25 mins, sounded wonderful

No idea about what it might do to the warranty, but I kept the stock unit so I can always switch back if anything serious happens...

Are you, by any chance, a member of the Niagara region of the PCA? I'm looking for the chance to hear the sharkwerks bypass in person. I'm here in Rochester, NY.

Just wondering if you need special tools or did you have to jack up the car to install. I have been pondering on one for my 09C2S. Had any trouble with shipping or duties? Thanks

Great Mod! I have a set too and I love it! Feels like a completely different car and quite reasonable too. Just be careful, the first few months I had them I kept revving the car real high just to hear the great sound.

jj, don't the DFI and non-DFI engines sound different? I would love to hear what it sounds like however. That would be cool. I'm starting to see more 997's around now that the weather is decent. Maybe I've seen you driving around.

RE: OP.....Not trying to highjack u thread, but I cant PM a newb until they have 10-15 posts...... sorry

Jim

I dont if they sound different.....just run different.(Exhaust layout is different) Im sure someone will chime in if im incorrect......

Probably not....LOL....I usually am all out when I drive, so i try to avoid traffic. Traffic annoys me
I like to hear the music so I run alot from 4k plus on open roads

Someone else has the same car but with the gold plates(thats not me)

Im getting my p40's installed when i have that service so no mistaken the car. If you want show up at 830 on tuesday 21 and u can hear it. Ask Paul if I have been there. If so ask him to fire it up so u can hear it. Remember, this is cats AND cans!

No special tools necessary - basic "shop" stuff will suffice (comes with instructions and an outline of tools required). I actually took it to my buddy's shop so I could put the car up on the hoist. You can do it while it's on the ground - but there isn't much room and if it's up in the air it makes everything much easier....

No issues with shipping (except I missed UPS the first time they showed up - and I had to wait an extra day), and none with duties.

Overall a fun experience...
