brake dust

can any body tell me a type of brake pad for the street that has less brake dust (steel rotors). i realize ceramic rotors and corresponding pad produce less. is there a pad type or brand that produces less for steel rotors?

Harder pads leave less dust but wear more on the rotor. It is a trade off.

IslandS62, is correct on the use of the Armorall wheel cleaner.
My son told me about this product & I called BS. I've never been a big fan of Armorall products since my use of it in the 70's & cracked dashboard problems. It's funny how when you get a bad taste how long it will last, true or not.
Anyway he cleaned & waxed the Porsche (Father's Day treat) & used the Amorall wheel cleaner on only the right side of the car. At first he did not tell me he only used it 2 of the wheels. After 3 weeks of driving & a couple hose offs it was night & day between the 2 sides. I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Thanks for this! Bought some yesterday, detailed my car into the late evening, applied the wheel protectant and let it dry all night... can't wait to see how it works!

OHH, just what everyone needs, wheels that look dirty even when they're clean.
