I don't drive the 18s much on the street so I can't really compare the ride to 19s.

On the track I run PASM on sport with a more aggressive alignment. (Max negative camber up front.) With that set up and the wider front tires the handling is great. Limited understeer and it's nicely hooked up.

Noisy on the street. Nice stick on the track when the air pressure is right.
They're pretty good in the wet too.

I've heard others like the Nitto NT01.

I am currently running 245/305x18 with RA1 but they are my last set.

I am thinking of running 255/315x18 next season. Probably with R888 or Falken RT615K.

HTH,

T.

Just did 235 front and 295 back on OEM carrera III 18s. Toyo R 888.

Some whine on the street. Lower ride height- according to my el cheapo jack. But hard to tell otherwise.

Very sticky on the track. Dropped 5 seconds a lap at MSR Cresson compared to my PS2s!
It could probably take 1 cm more on the width front and back but the fit on this size looks perfect.
