Well I had to borrow my dad's tahoe for the weekend, to go motorcycle racing
... but he decided to run over a huge pothole on the highway and damaged my right front wheel
and it doesn't look repairable as the it's the outer edge of the wheel where the spokes meet the lip and the lip is pushed out. the tire place said that it isn't repairable whcih im going to agree with. To even reshape the wheel back to where it was it would be softened so much and wouldn't last on the street imo.
they are the carrera sport wheels and I had them painted black/red, and i need two front tires too, fml
does anyone have any experience with just buying a single wheel through porsche, estimate on what i might be expecting to pay?

sorry to hear. If you're going to buy thru Porsche... try Suncoast or Sunset for the best price. Otherwise, you might try and find a used one on ebay or thru wheelenhancement.com Just make sure it's a genuine wheel and not a knock off.
Good luck

cross shop with porscheoemparts dot com as well, by Sonnen Porsche, they can often be cheaper than the other discount dealers. Ive found their shipping to be much cheaper on larger items and even with CA tax the net cost is cheaper than the others delivered to my door.

Just guessing, but the cost of a new wheel, let alone a full set of HRE's can be difficult when you're retired and on a fixed income, even if the level it's fixed at is generous for most purposes.

u should use this "opportunity" to change ur wheels and lose some unwanted sprung weight.
the carrera sport wheels are one of my favorite P-wheel..
however, they are like anchors on ur car with all the weight (especially if u had them painted)

find a nice set of used performance wheels and u will be amazed with the way ur car feels.

Not sure we can mention specific vendors, but you might try some of the "salvage" shops. Look through a PCA Panorama. There's a source in Oklahoma and another in the LA area. Dealers sometimes have "take offs" from cars that owners upgraded the wheels. You could also look around this and other forum classifieds. Lot of gently used options out there priced less than new.
I know the feeling. My nephew opened the passenger door too fast and hit my trailer in the garage. Fortunatly there was no damage but I freaked out.
Go for new wheels if you can afford. OZ's are reasonable, light weight and strong.
