991 Tail Lights on 997 w/aftermarket bumper
Yes, I spoke to one of the sales guys at Wicked Motor Works about the 997 to 991 rear end conversion and he said it was about $8K for the package, which includes the 997 to 991 custom fit rear bumper, with valance (they currently have it for 997 C4S and 997 Turbo) They are still working on the narrower 997 C2 (they will have that model by next month). Also includes a pair of OEM factory 991 LED taillights, and their "custom conversion brackets" He quoted me another $2K to install and paint. They have done 6 so far, 4 997 Turbo's and 2 C4S's. I am going to take in my car (08 997.1 Turbo) next Monday. They take 50% up front and 50% upon completion. I am going to take photos of my car before they begin and after. I will post those pictures on here if anyone wants to see. My car is Black, so I think the 991 LED Taillights will really stand out. He also said he can do the rear bumper in a Carrera GT Style with the Quad exhaust tips, which I might go for. That's going to be an extra $4K though, so I'm still thinking about it. Let me know if you have more questions.
Goodluck. Waiting to see update !! Subscribed !!

I'll weigh in with my opinion. Everybody has an opinion, right?
I think there's a fine line, but a big difference between
- trying to make your car look like a different car (newer, more power version, etc)
- trying to make your car look cool, unique, and modded to your own taste
I'm going for the second option with my 997, as I did with my 964 that I owned and modded from 1999 - 2010.
I like the aerokit front bumper, and I think it looks cooler with the vent. I don't like any (?) of the Porsche stock wheels, so I went with aftermarket. I love the GT3 rear bumper vents, ever since it came out. I didn't like the center exhaust at first, but then it grew on me. I really like the OEM 997.2 style LED lights. I
like the car lower than stock.
I don't like the GT3/ aerokit rear wing. I'm going wingless now, but at some
point, I think it'd be pretty cool to have the turbo spoiler.
Am I trying to make my car look like a GT3? Absolutely not. I'm not badging it that way and I'm not out to fool anyone.
We all know that most people don't know the difference between 911s anyway.
To each his (or her own)
I guess my Main point here is that one should not assume that
people who buy LED lights are trying to fool people into thinking they have a newer car, or people that that put an aerokit (or GT3) bumper (front or rear) are trying to fool people into thinking they have a GT3.
I'm sure some people are aiming for that, but in my experience, it's a vast minority of the modding community

I agree with you. I have front & rear LED's on my 07 4S however it's just because they look cool. Not trying to be a .2 model in anyway. I think turbo wings are cool...but I don't have a turbo..so I wouldn't put one on mine.
Not a fan of making a car look like something it's not....just silly. What ever floats your boat!!

Now you can have both the front and rear bumper for a mere USD11698!
Wicked had done it time and again
We should start seeing salvaged 996/7 with 991 body kit running around SoCal pretty soon.

I looked at their "chimeric creation" closely and was never impressed with their quality of body work. I was told by my friend who runs a body shop in MA that he will not touch their product again since it was a fitment nightmare.
To each his own I guess.

Putting the dectane LEDs on my 07 made it look better than the old-school stock lights - and I really like the look of my p40s. It keeps me happy until the cpo runs out and I get a 997.2 to replace it. But spend $8k? Eh, I'd just trade up if it bothered me that much. I can take my p40s with me.
