Ferrari 458 Italia and an Aston Martin DBS Volante (need a drop top). Keep in mind, I'm single and I do not have kids. If I had to have an SUV, it would not be in the garage, but outside and I would probably get an Escalade or Mercedes GL (or if they have an AMG version of it) I love my car, but I wouldn't own it if I had endless funds honestly.

2 cars does not cut it.
If you go with dedicated track car - porsche cup - you'll need a rig to tow it. It counts. Then you need sporty daily driver.
You also need something to haul whole family around. Then wife needs her car for daily driving. So it goes on.

It's not that I think th S4 does anything poorly (the tranny is shunty at low speeds), it's just that it is so meh about too many things to shine.
Mine looks the part. The fit and finish is great. But I find it so lacking in drama, no road feel or noise, no exhaust noise etc. It is (for me) not a car designed with North America in mind. If you are driving on the Autobahn, a serene high speed jaunt into work makes sense. You want a car that can flatten the edges at those really high speeds. But in NA, our speeds are low. Unless you are really pushing the car, you could just as easily think it was a 2.0 (minus the handling of the S4).
I want a car that makes 60 feel like 80, not one that makes 80 feel like 40.
For many, I'm sure it's great. For me it's not visceral/involving enough to truly be sporting, nor is it refined enough to feel luxurious. Basically it lacks a sense of occasion (for me).
I'm actually considering a used 911 as my daily driver.

Combine all that with the fact that mine has taken a new fuel pump ECU (left me stranded), new fuel injectors, and throws a CEL if you look at it sideways, and I'm done with Audi. Looking at buying a 95K mile 993 as a replacement daily driver. :-)

I didn't read all the rules or the rest of the thread, but I assume you're wanting us to pick from the options you selected. I'd be torn between the two above. If your second option had included a 997 GT3 instead of a Turbo (while leasing a nice sedan), that would've been my vote. I'd still give that option (997 Turbo + luxo-sedan) the slight edge over the CTS-V + S5. But if I went with the CTS-V, I'd totally rock the wagon.
