I had mine done recently at stickynomore. I sent them the entire AC unit instead of going through the trouble of removing the buttons myself.

I was thinking a sharpie might works as well. I guess it was too black & shiny.

Mine are showing a bit of wear so I might try a matte finish paint as opposed to the sharpie.

What year did they change over to the non-satin finished switches? I'm wondering if I can source an updated switch cluster on the second hand.

mid 2006, 2007. The AC unit says "AC OFF" instead of "ECO"

"AC OFF" means good buttons

Just took mine out, 06 C4. These instructions worked great! Will have the reprinted ones back and installed next week!

I think I may just remove the rest of the finish and then repaint them. I think I can figure out the temperature and fan quickly, and rarely would I have a passanger that couldn't figure it out either. It might clean up the look a tad too.

I recently found a solution! it´s a complete kit that takes 10 minutes and you can install it yourself. It´s sold at climarepair.com

Here some pics (before and after):

I just ordered them from Climarepair.com too. Paid in Euros, and there's free shipping. Total cost was around $35 US. Let's see if they ever get here! Could take forever!

I have sent things overseas and usually take 6-10 days... Plus climarepair sends it's orders certificated, so it will definitely arrive!

Yeah. And the whole purchase experience has been great thus far. They've already sent tracking info. I should have it in 7 days. I'll keep you posted.
