Ah, don't look now but all Porsche's since 2008 (and perhaps some before) already have this "feature". If you drive down the street applying throttle and press the brake pedal for more than about 10 seconds, the motor shuts down. It's actually quite a handy feature to use when bedding in new brake pads though........

Guess this goes hand in hand with the clutch disappearing. Heel Toe is a thing that your kids will only hear about but never try.

So true..

heel toeing ...and i hate to admit this...took me three years to learn for proper use on the track.

I spent many nights thinking about switching to a PDK because I was so frustrated...I finally can do it half way well and its the coolest feeling in the world when the revs match perfectly.

i have this on mine too so at least far back as '06. but i have a feeling that the new reg will be mindful of "peripheral conditions" or however you want to phrase it. i.e. throttle cut off only if car is in gear (and clutch not depressed) etc. exactly how ours work now. so i'm thinking/hoping that heel-toe will still be just fine under the new law.

I have Rennline toe extensions, and it is so much easier to do when compared to the stock pedals.

I left foot brake when I autocross and this feature makes me crazy. My 997 was built in dec04 and it has this feature.

Does anyone know of a way to override this feature ??
