I'm looking to pick up a booster seat for my kids and I can't find them anywhere!!!!

I know the Harmony Lightrider would work but I can't find any online dealers that will ship to Canada. The Canadian Apramo is no longer available here.

I will obviously pay all the costs involved I just need to get one for my car.

Be aware that child seats that are approved in the USA may not pass Canadian requirements. I have heard that customs will sometimes not let then into the country.

 

NorthVan makes a good point. Things like child safety seats seats can sticky crossing the border.

 

Local Police have been known to do spot checks on Child Safety Equipment, if they don't have a CSA sticker the can stop you from "transporting" your child with a non CSA approved seat.

 

If you can drive to Buffalo just have it shipped to CBI USA. This place is literally 5 min across Rainbow Bridge. Fantastic company to do business with, been using them for a few months now for a number of things including tires/rims.

 

I love how our children aren't as safe as Canadian children...

its an exactly the same seat, except it has an extra sticker, and we have to pay more for it. Just like everything else. Recently I bought a canadian made atv, in U.S. for $4K less then in Canada.

 

Thanks for the tips everyone. I like the idea of shipping different things to the rainbow bridge. Just might use that some day! Not driving there for a seat though!!!

Canadian Tire sells the same type seat called the Apramo but I can't find it anywhere.

As far as the booster seat and the laws go... could be a little touchy subject. I think the modification brackets I built for the sunshine kids car seat would be a bigger issue. It's just a booster seat so I'm not as concerned about the sticker on the seat. Besides, I can always buy a $15 seat here and transfer the sticker. (peel the tags of course)

 

Thanks to Tiyyara for agreeing to send me the booster! Canadian Tire is restocking them here in Canada (apramo) so I no longer have to worry about CAN approval.
