Can I drive without exhaust tips? Any concerns?

I'm sending my tips to get ceramic coated and I was wondering if I can still drive my car.

My concern would be melting the rear bumper but I'm not sure this would happpen.

It would only be for a day or two.

Thanks

I ran no exhaust tips on my touareg briefly, maybe a day or two, and my rear valence began to melt... if you do drive without them, just be mindful and check often.

exhaust tips are not purely cosmetic. they route the exhaust gas past your bumper.

You run a chance of damaging the valence/bumper.

Go to Walmart and get some cheap tips to use while yours are getting coated. Just measure your exhaust so you'll know what size to get and make sure they are long enough to clear the bumper a little.

I ran my car twicw w/o tips about 3 miles each in 50 degree weather. make sure your exhaust isn't canted towards the urethane bumper and check the temp of the area around the exhaust housing. Mine was just lukewarm. Limited short driving prob ok if above checked out.

ROFL. That is a hoot. The OP should put those on just for laughs. Of course, we would need pictures too. It would qualify for an award for tackiness.
