Some shots of a few recent upgrades

Sold the Gallardo a few months back and picked up an 08 997 Turbo so I can actually have a car to drive, not a space ship. Love it!

Just got the car back from Roock Tuning here in Atlanta last week with a number of new upgrades.

- Rebuilt OEM Turbo's
- Proprietary Roock ECU Flash
- Sportec Exhaust with custom build cat bypass pipes
- Fabspeed Intake
- Forge Diverter valves
- JPM Coachworks interior: Shift boot, e-brake, steering wheel, and ****
- IGT Automotive Carbon fiber Center console, console lid, and shift ****
- B&M Short Shifter
- In house LED DRL/Blinker Conversion
- In house Sti-R clear lens upgrade for OEM Bix headlights
- Osram 66240 D2S CBI 5000K Headlight Bulbs
- 360 Forged 20" Concave 10 wheels (poorly made, but look great!)
- H&R Springs
- H&R Front / Rear sway bars

Enjoy!

3/4 of them are leaking air in between the bead between the 2 halves of the rim (3 pc)

As I was with the tech mounting the tires - he put the wheel (with no tire on it) on their balancing machine to show me that while spinning, they all have a bit of wobble to them.

Whoever bolted the 2 halves together clearly didn't pay much attention to making sure they were even.

All 4 of them are missing a bolt near the valve stem, seems intentional - but for no apparent reason

I was going to ask the same thing. Can you define a bit? I dont mean to bash on the manufacturer, but would love to hear an educated opinion.
This exact wheel is the closest out there to the dynamag style... I think 1 or 2 spokes more but looks quite similar.

Great look by the way, compliments on managing to implement very tastefully the alcantara in the teracotta interior! Excellent work!

My DRL's were home made as well :-) Thanks Skand.

wow looks exactly the same as mine, good work! pretty easy if you've got some skills with a soldering iron and the ***** to cut open some expensive housings

Not me mate.
Skandalis, he is a member here. He has done this quite a few times, so dare I say he is an expert... And he is not only on our side of the pond, which is a plus for Europeans wanting to do this (and lives in Athens which is a major plus for me!! Hehe).

Taking apart housings that are not glued but melted together takes patience and expertise. Turn signals are yellow led clusters, found that filament bulbs are not bright enough.

I saw the vid of your lights. You add a second row of leds, impressive. We just swapped the amber for whites, and swapped the wiring to bring the turn signal to the corner...

Matt-

Sorry we couldn't get together on your turbo wheels, but your car looks incredible. Much better than when I saw it with both the front and rear facias off!
Well done!!

Wheels are cool, but it's the interior that I keep looking at. It's growing on me, sets off the carbon pieces, def. not one you see every day.

Good job.

Yes I am curious about this question too. Regarding drivability and general service requirements and reliability. I have always admired the Gallardo, but don't know if it is a grass is greener type of deal. I am very pleased with the reliability of the 911, it seems very solid for a sports car.
