Gundo Hack..
Gundo Hack..
Hi All.. This Gundo hack looks like a good option. Does this do anything performance wise, or is it simply for sound?
I'm not mechanically sound, and don't want to try to be with this car. I'm in South Florida, anyone know someone around here from West Palm Beach to Miami that could perform this reasonably?
Last question, and I imagine the answer is yes. My car is certified, will this void the warranty?

Do a search (or ask nicely) for a picture of a completed hack. Any quality muffler shop should be able to do the modifications to your mufflers.
Ask first, but your dealer should have no problem with any reasonable modification to the exhaust system done after the catalytic converters. This is no worse than putting on an aftermarket exhaust system, just loads cheaper.
Enjoy!!
do you mind if I ask which x-pipe are you running with? I kind want my exhaust to be a bit louder/deeper than the stock but not something overly loud and has to to no drone. I am considering fabspeed x-pipe right now but I haven't really heard anything in person, so having a hard time making a decision. I would really appreciate your feedback if possible. Thank you so much.

We both have the Fabspeed. I'm very happy with it, but still want a louder, deeper sound. No drone whatsoever on the Fabspeed & I have a PDK. I've also heard good things about Sharkwerks, but my shop recommended Fabspeed.

GMG is the best.
Talked with a guy just now that did the hack. His $.02 was that if he had it to do over, he'd do a 1" mod instead of the 2" he did. Said the 2" is just a little too throaty. Don't know myself, but from one source...
LOL. Don't disagree. I own muscle cars as well, so I know (and like) throaty. I say we all throw glasspacks on.
I only mention it, because I didn't know there were gundo hack options, I suppose. For some to ponder. I'm running stock, so what do I know?

I've also run with muffler bypass pipes. Try that is you want ridiculously loud - it will set off every motion sensing car alarm in your neighborhood parking garage if you blip the throttle
The hack isn't that loud, but sounds epic under throttle.
I'm just back from a 100 car event in the Blue Ride mountains of North Carolina - check out brbs.org, and I continue to get many positive comments about the exhaust sounds. Obviously not stock, but terrific sounding.
