Analog watch for the dash dimple

Maybe just maybe someone finds oit a replacement analog watch to replace the sports chrono item on our dash. Who has actually used the sports chrono....not a lot. If someone comes out with an iwc or any good brand watch to replace that useless item im sure its going to sell.

why get the sport chrono package when you don't want the sport chrono? there's already a clock in the instrument cluster and in the pcm, why do you need a third?

Well, honestly i have never used that dimple on the dash and thinking out loud that it should just be a watch. I think the new 991 are already like that. Those dimples double as watches. Im sure you know that.

Someone on here developed a muti-gauge to fit the wart. A lot of different parameters could be read from the gauge. All of the parameters are user programmable.

If you search you should able to find it here or on the other list.

Cattman is the member responsible for the pod/wart gauge. I found the link. Go to post #36

A gauge or watch that is really analog with an expensive brand like rolex or iwc that exactly fits the area of the sports chrono and we have a more expensive looking dash

I'm planning to do Cattman's mod with my existing SC wart...got the PLX gauge sitting in my garage right now.

If you really want a fancy clock in there, another thought would be to slap in an iPod Nano:

...since it has customizable analog or digital clock/watch gauges. Some people even wear these as wristwatches (not me!)

It will be a giant pain in the butt to keep a mechanical watch wound up properly. None of the higher end stuff uses batteries.

Quartz German B-Uhr style. I'm sure there are some very large ones out there that will fill the wart.
