No worries as I'd never put Ruf center caps on, but I bought a set of black caps and I wanted opinions on this versus the matching centers.

I first saw the setup on another car but with the 5-spoke Rinspeed wheels (similar to Ruf) and I liked them. I mounted them and I'm not sure, although I like the contrast and I think it goes with the monochromatic theme.

Anyway, just looking for opinions.

I think there are Porsche center caps that are more silver than the standard caps you have on there now. they would match your monochromatic theme a little better I think. JMHO.

 

Thanks, but I have the matching caps (pictured above). I actually didn't want to go to a lighter color. Just the same I appreciate your feedback.

 

Black caps are ok.

Silvers make a huge difference. Stick with silver caps.

 

I pick the matching over the black.

interestingly, i like the black centers because it tends to 'drop' the cap back and make the well look deeper. the silver caps give more of a flat appearance to the wheel. subtle difference, though, so i think i'd go with what you like best.

There will be another black 997 sporting the same wheels and color, so a little differentiation, although my modding will continue.
