Jeez.....that does not look safe at all. Store it in the glovebox. If you get pulled over and a cop sees that, he will make things difficult for you.

Also, doesn't seem too secure. What will happen in the event of an accident? Hope it's not ****ed.

I am pro gun but let me throw this out.... many people will only be in deeper danger carrying a gun (and may not realize it) as if you pull a gun out you better be ready to use it without delay. If you pull a gun on a trained person(or desparate person) , they will shoot you right away if given the chance. Now how many gun carriers are ready to kill someone ? AND your judgement better be right. Most have never had someone at gun point and it s not as clear or easy as you think it might be. Carrying a gun should be considered and it s NOT for everyone. As a retired LEO I do not carry often but when I do I think not only can I protect myself but maybe someone else who is in need of help (including other officers on MV stops).
PS/trying to stay out of this but couldn t help myself again.... LOL

Our lovely Amendments were made when there was a time they made sense. They still make sense....however with modification. As times change, people change, the world changes....the Amendments need to be changed.

NRA is loaded with money, they can probably take care of the US Deficit, and they will always use that money to get the point across. I'm in favor of guns for protection...not in a car though. Home, hell yes. On your person...sure if you are license and go through the right training and protocol.

There is NO NEED for assault weapons and automatics that are out there now. Handguns and rifles sure...but using an Amendment to push deadly weapons like the ones used in Colorado in the open market is just wrong!!

However, one can always say...." If guns are outlawed...only outlaws will have guns!!"

I think that this still runs true even in these days...but the cowboy days are gone...hope someday as a society we can all continue to debate issues, respectfully and do what's best for everyone!!

Just my .02!!

Thanks NC997!!

NC 997 - Thanks for being ON TOPIC!!
Gum Creek Customs is the company I was referring to earlier about having placed an order for a steering column holster. I will post on the forum once I have an opinion. But your VALID input on the thread is perhaps the most appreciated.
Once again the thread is not intended to be about your opinions. But since everyone is in the mood to share theirs, I will weigh in too:
I'm MY opinion I think most of YOUR opinions are NONSENSE and IGNORANT. Go get yourselves educated on the topic (not NPR or CNN thank you very much) and then come back and say something worthwhile.
JUST MY OPINION!!

Could your pistol fit unholstered in the door storage compartment? I think that would be a secure place and it would be concealed and easy to access.

Not many weeks ago - some crazy nut walked into a movie theater and killed 12 people in cold blood.

Every weapon he had - he obtained LEGALLY with all your background checks and waiting periods.

This is one example of many.

Until you guys figure out how to prevent this from happening with weapons acquired through your means of screening - it's not working - and people are dead.

It's easier to get a gun then a drivers license. It's crazy. It's defunct.

So long as this **** happens - I have a hard time listening to your arguments. Sorry.

EDIT - it's crazy - guns should be the hardest privilege to obtain legally in our society because they're purpose-built killing tools. There should be a several YEAR waiting list - with weeks of psychiatric testing to hold a gun - not DAYS/WEEK with your half-a..sed "background" check. It's completely ****ed.

More people die by cars. Maybe that should be the hardest privilege to obtain.

How do you stop an incident like in the theater? You can't . Take away his guns and he throws molotov ****tails instead. A gun free zone sure didn't help either. Seems the wackos like to blast away where guns arn't allowed. (like schools too)

Not sure why this is not obvious but if the "theater shooter" was not the only one with guns in that theater, I am willing to bet that the number of death would significantly be reduced. He would not be able to unload as many rounds as he did IMO. Or if he assumes that some other people might have guns on them too, he might not have done what he did. Again IMO. Not looking to change anyone's mind but am very grateful for our individual freedom to choose. To each his own.

What happens when someone with a legal weapon kills/wounds an innocent bystander while trying to hit the bad guy? What price would that person expect to pay? It's one thing to shoot at a target and a completely different scenario to have the target shoot back. It's unfortunate that the victim on either side doesn't get to vote.

I had my fill in '69'.

Personally if i get shot and killed cause someones trying to take out the guy who is killing everyone else and it ends up savings lives, go ahead and shoot me. 9/11 is a great example of peoples fear of action costing more lives than what it should have.

Love that video. Those two got what the deserved. Words are words....those two in the truck were jerks.....doesn't mean a gun is justified. I personally would have called the police and they would have come. I had a situation like that...they rush to situations like that...but of course there will be two sides to this situation.
