It states for me to have a 12,000 mile interval for the engine oil. I will stick with 10,000 miles.

I want to change the manual trans oil and diff oil to amsoil. I will be doing that soon.

For the powersteering fluid im thinking of sucking the fluid out and adding new fluid every 10,000 miles.

Im not sure how to service the hydrolic fluid.

Flush brakes every 20,000 miles.

How does that sound???

My 997 is a weekend warrior so it gets half of the 10K miles a year, I end up changing the oil/filter every year, brake flush, every other year. I change things by year not miles.

How much does an oil change typically cost at the dealership? I've only had mine for 4 months so far.

At my local Porsche dealer they charge $185 for the oil change and $190 for the brake flush.

For comparisson, a highly reputable indy shop in my area charges $189 for the oil change and $169 for the brake flush.

Personally I go to the dealership because of the loaner vehicles and convenience.

I do my own service on my cars, depending on how much work it involves. I try and do all fluid changes.

I don't think it's in there but someone from the forum say about 100,000 miles. Don't quote me on it, this is what I remember reading. I'll change mine when my dealer say I need to.

$200 for oil/filter change and $180 for brake flush. My dealer keeps sending me coupons every year, my most recent was 50% off so it's never really the advertised price for me. The indy's around here is cheaper but since I keep using coupons, it ends up cheaper than the Indy.

I just called a dealer and they quoted $389 for an oil change.

Time to go to a new dealer. If your car isn't under warranty, go to a German indy, they usually charger about $130 around here for an oil/filter change.
