but im now wondering how to get the car out when the lifters fail. it so tight there i hope there is an emergency eject button.

You're sure that's not photo-shopped?...
Why do you need hydraulic lifters on the gravel "ceiling" of the car. That part can just be fixed length metal beams. The hydraulic lifters need to be *under* the car to lift the gravel "ceiling", the car, and the base the car sits on. Therefore, you should not see hydraulics in the picture at all. Also, rain and water would definitely get in there.

The hydraulic lifters for the ceiling would appear to reduce the depth of the hole required for the mechanism when the car is fully stored while improving ease of access to the car when it is fully lifted. I suspect it is adjustable to allow for different size cars. Not sure how they deal with water. Pumping it out with electric pumps could result in a catastrophic failure if the power should fail during a heavy rain storm. But manufacture most have solved that issue. As for target markets, bet they don't sell many of 'em in New Orleans !!!!
